Back on the wagon
So I have been on a bit of a hiatus from training over the last month. Originally I planned to take a break until my shed and home gym were completed, unfortunately it has taken a few weeks longer then expected due to construction delays.
Over the last few weeks I ate horribly and didn’t exercise at ll I have started to turn it around this week and actually have a goal to train for which I think I was missing.
So I decided to start training for Western Mud Rush, the mud rush is a 8km race through the mud with a bunch of obstacles in between in Perth, Australia. A mini version of the tough mudder I am guessing. I will be doing it with a team of four other guys all going through together so really looking forward to it.
At the moment my training is moving towards plenty of high reps, a lot of pullups and a fair chunk of cardio. I have just been trying to get some fitness back and will hopefully build on some muscular endurance and greatly improve my recovery times after each run. I managed to get two gym workouts in this week and will be throwing in a short plodding run tomorrow.
More progress updates to follow :)
